Fire up Hogwarts Legacy for the first time, and there’s a pretty good chance you’ll run into some performance issues. The Hogwarts Legacy sub on Reddit, the Steam Community boards, and other gaming forums are full of threads with users troubleshooting HL performance problems even on high-end gaming rigs: stuttering, frame rate issues, you name it. And not being able to get through the tutorial because of how slow and glitchy the game is isn’t exactly magical.
Luckily, there are several mod options that optimize the game’s performance to give you a much smoother experience overall. The best mod for fixing Hogwarts Legacy performance issues is Ascendio III, which is an unofficial hotfix that uses Unreal Engine parameters to address some of the game’s major issues.

Hogwarts Legacy is a great game, and lots of people love it – but there are a few areas where fans are hoping the game gets expanded for Hogwarts Legacy 2. Pretty much all of us wish that in-game decisions had a bigger impact on the outcome of the storyline, but probably the #2 biggest ask is Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer.
Friends are a huge part of the Harry Potter story and universe, so it only makes sense you’d want to play alongside your pals in the open world RPG, right?
Luckily, fans of the game stepped in with HogsWarp to make it a possibility. The mod is pretty basic – for example, it doesn’t include rewrites of the story or quest to make it multiplayer.
